Device Requirements: ILTA, in partnership with QuickMobile*, is pleased to provide the 2010 Mobile App for the following devices: Apple iPhone, Apple iPod Touch and newer Blackberry devices running OS V5.0 (Bold 9700, Curve 8900, Storm). For Android smartphones, older Blackberry devices and Windows mobile, please use the mobile website listed above. (Blackberry users: it's normal for the app installation to take a few minutes after the download completes. Note: New Torch smartphones with OS 6 are not compatibile unfortunately. Please use the mobile website instead.)

Username/password note:  the mobile website is publically accessible but the Attendee area is a members-only section and requires login for access. The iPhone app and Blackberry app will also prompt for a username and password before you can access the Attendee list in the app. Your lastname will be your username and your ILTA customer number will be your password. Your ILTA customer number will be e-mailed to you prior to the conference start (member attendees only). However, ILTA members can also find their customer number via this link (you will be prompted to login to the ILTA website).

Important Wi-Fi Notice for Mobile Devices
Due to the anticipated high usage of Wi-Fi within the conference area, an additional Wi-FI SSID called "ILTA2010-Mobile" will be available. If you wish to use Wi-Fi from your mobile device, please be sure to connect using the "ILTA2010-Mobile" SSID as there is a limit to the number of device connections allowed on the other ILTA SSID. The password for this Wi-Fi connection is 2010ILTAMOBILE (case sensitive).

General Information and FAQ
Q
: If I have both a Blackberry and an iPod Touch (or iPhone), which app would you recommend?
A: The best experience will be on the iPhone or iPod Touch devices. The large screen and touch interface make it a very enjoyable experience.

Q: Is there an Android app available?
A: Based on a survey conducted earlier this year with ILTA members, only 3% used an Android device. We will revisit this for the ILTA 2011 conference, but for this year Android users should visit the mobile web link shown above or use an Apple iPod if they have one.

Q: Is the ILTA mobile app or mobile website available to vendors and sponsors of the conference?
A: Yes, vendors are welcome to use the iPhone or Blackberry app as well as the mobile website, however only ILTA members have access to the Attendee list.

Q: Is it okay to respond to Polls and/or Evals ahead of time?
A: Please wait to respond to any poll or eval until the speaker or presenter instructs you to do so.

Q: Will the ILTA mobile app and website remain available after conference has ended?
A: The iPhone and Blackberry app will remain on your device until you delete it. The ILTA mobile website will remain available for at least 30 days after conference has ended.

Apple iPhone / iPod Touch FAQ
Q: What is the "now showing" icon for?
A: During conference, this will show the events and educational sessions that are about to take place or are currently underway.

Q: How do you use the my agenda feature, and does it sync with the Itinerary Planner from the conference website?
A: The my agenda feature allows you to easily create a list of events and sessions that most interest you. To add an event to your list, choose a session from the main agenda icon and then press the red  +  symbol to add it to your my agenda. You can edit your personal agenda at anytime. To do so, select my agenda from the home screen and press the Edit button and then press the red  -  button to remove an event from your agenda. Note: the Itinerary Planner on the conference website and the "my agenda" icon are independant and do not share data.

Q: When I view a person from the attendee (members only) list, the screen shows "User has privacy settings on". What does that mean?
A: Each attendee's contact information (e-mail address and office phone number) are hidden by default. However, users can unhide their contact information using the Settings button that is available under the members only icon.

Q: If I submitted a session evaluation, can I undo that and submit a new evaluation?
A: Once an eval has been submitted, it cannot be retracted or revised. Please be careful when submitting session evaluations.

Blackberry App FAQ
Q: Why does the ILTA mobile app require a newer Blackberry to operate?
A: The ILTA mobile app uses SQLite which is an internal database on the device to store large amounts of app data. This is only available in Blackberry OS 5.0 (and higher). This technology was needed for the extensive data storage requirements of the app, and it also provides a way for app data to be updated on the fly, even during conference week.

Q: When I view the conference agenda, is there an easy way to see a different day's events or the events that are about to take place?
A: Yes, by pressing the Blackberry menu button you can access features such as Next DayGo to Current Day and What's On Now which will display the events and sessions that are about to take place or are currently underway.

Q: Does the Blackberry app have an itinerary planner or equivalent feature that will help me plan my week?
A: Yes, and it uses the calendar feature of your Blackberry. To access this functionality, select any session or event of interest and while viewing the details of that event, press the Blackberry menu button and choose Add to Calendar. The event will now be on your calendar as an appointment.

Q: When I view a person from the attendee (members only) list, the screen shows User has privacy settings on. What does that mean?
A: Each attendee's contact information (e-mail address and phone number) are hidden by default. However, users can unhide their contact information using the Settings icon that is available from the home screen of the app.

Q: If I submitted a session evaluation, can I undo that and submit a new evaluation?
A: Once an eval has been submitted, it cannot be retracted or revised. Please be careful when submitting session evaluations.

Q: When I view the Vendor Directory, is there an easy way to jump to a particular company name?
A: Yes, if you press the first letter of a company's name you will jump to those companies that start with that letter. You can also press the menu button and access the Search by Vendor option.

Mobile Web FAQ
Q: How do I login to the mobile website?
A: The mobile website is available to anyone via the link noted above, however the Attendee option is restricted to ILTA Member Attendees only. To access that area, you will be prompted to login. Your username will be your lastname and your password will be a 4 or 5 digit number. To find your password, you can use the "Forgot my password" link that appears when you attempt to access the Attendee list. ILTA members can also find their password (customer number) via this link. Note: you will be prompted to login to the ILTA website to see this information.

Q: Are there features in the iPhone or Blackberry app that are not available in the mobile website?
A: The mobile website has the same conference information and content as the dedicated apps but the following features are not available via the mobile website:  Session Evaluations, Polls/Voting, and the My Agenda feature.

Q: Will I have to login everytime I visit the mobile website's Attendee list?
A: As long as your mobile web browser allows cookies, it will remember your login information when you revisit.
